A whole host of cleansers for acne promise a miracle cure but only a few seem make any difference to relieving acne. Acne is caused by different factors in different people, so a cleanser that works miracles for your friend may not make the slightest bit of difference to you.
In the search for cleansers for acne, it is important to bear in mind science has yet to find an effective acne cure and not fall for the advertising hype surrounding cleansers. Yes they will work for some people but you have to spend money to find out it if it works for you and several cleansers later this could be quite an expensive affair.
In my search for a cure for the acne outbreak, I have found that the witch hazel, a nice natural cleanser seems to work the best at reducing spots and make me able to face the outside world.

One theory is that it is not bacteria thats is responsible for causing acne. The real cause is toxins causing pimples.
Unfortunately in today’s environment and climate (unless you are luckily enough to live in the middle of nowhere and grow your own food) it is very difficult to block toxins causing pimples.
Some acidic foods, processed foods, chemically enhanced foods or food with additives can cause imbalances in your body. Even water, air pollution or stress can create these toxins that can invade your body.
If you have too many toxins floating around your body, you may experience one of more of the following symptoms: recurring headaches, low energy, frequent constipation, irritability or acne.
Acne happens when your body cannot remove enough toxins through your kidneys and bowels (which are your first line of defense) and then the second line of defense is your liver . If this is not adequate, toxins will be released through your skin.
It could be said that acne is a sign that the liver is growing weaker in its detoxification abilities . This makes it worthwile to see what toxins are in your environment.
Some people say, and even research proves, that using antibacterial soap can in fact kill off normal bacteria and create a mutant bacteria that becomes resistant to any soap that you choose to use and even some antibiotics. If you these soaps all the time you can also run the risk of making the skin impervious to non harmful bacteria that actually helps maintain your skin’s health.
Nobody is saying that you should not use antibacterial soaps, but to use them all the time could be counter productive in the long run. Did you know that three quarters of liquid soaps and about a third of bar soaps have antibacterial products in them anyway? So normal soaps are just as likely to do the required job if you do not have a major problem with acne. If you have a major problem you should consult your doctor about potential medications you could try.
It is also probably best to let children use normal soaps because their skin is very sensitive and good at producing its own bacteria that helps skin maintenance.
